Hairless Calico Cat
Should a calico cat be an inside or outside cat? Well it depends on which kind of cat the calico is, because its important to remember that calico cats are not a breed. They are a color pattern on the cat's fur. Some cat's that are calico like the hairless breeds can go outside, but not for very long because of the sun beating down on their skin (too much sun for the cat can cause bad skin rashes on the cat). So it would probably be best to keep hairless cats inside unless their owner were to keep a really close eye and limit how much time they spend outside.
Cats like the burmese calicoes might not be able to defend themselves from the many dangers of the outside world, so they are probably best kept inside too. It is also very important to remember that by letting a cat outside it is exposed to all sorts of parasites and diseases that could potentially kill it. Most cats, although wanting freedom, should probably be kept inside for the saftey of their health and well-being.
